The Oasis LIPU Holy Light is located about 3 km away from the town, a few dozen kilometers from Pisa, is an important resting area for migratory birds. In winter the lake is populated by Moriglioni, the Teals, of mallards and widgeon.

In summer you can see the Cetti's Warbler, the Marsh, the Warbler, kestrels and buzzards as well as other species. The most beautiful season is spring when you can admire the Great Crested Grebe, especially high as a symbol of the Oasis. Even the "migration" as herons appear on the lake and along its shores.
