The synagogue in Via Palestro, in use continuously for 400 years, is an important monument to its original seventeenth century, the restoration took place in the nineteenth century by the architect Marco Treves, one of the largest synagogue architects, as well as for furniture content in its interior.
Can be considered one of the most interesting examples of religious architecture Italian Jewish, testimony to the history and culture of an important Community has been to Pisa, whose first-archival documentary evidence dates back to the fifteenth century.
